Since 2010 The Children\u2019s Society has conducted household surveys in Great Britain with parents and children aged 8 to 17. Covers 2,000 households in England and Wales.<\/p>\n<p>They found of those surveyed, girls were twice as likely to self-harm (22% compared to 9 % for boys).<br \/>\nMore alarming still, almost\u00a050% of children who were attracted to those of the of the same gender or both genders were self-harming.<br \/>\nThe report considers changes in children&#8217;s well-being considering socioeconomic status, ethnicity and gender.\u00a0 The report discusses in detail long-term trends over the past decade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shocking findings from the latest Children\u2019s Society Annual Report.
