It is described in a <a href=\"http:\/\/documents.worldbank.org\/curated\/en\/601211501678994591\/pdf\/WPS8157.pdf\">working paper by Kose et al<\/a> 2017 and examines government debt\u00a0sustainability (or the ability to service a debt) in over 60 nations from 1990-2016.\u00a0 It includes external and private sector debt.\u00a0 It is compiled from four databases maintained by the World Bank:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World Development Indicators (WDI)<\/li>\n<li>International Debt Statistics (IDS)<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly External Debt Statistics (QEDS)<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly Public Sector Debt (QPSD).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And one potential use has been to measure activities during financial crises.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New for economic and economic historian researchers from the World Bank: a database of fiscal data which can be downloaded in Excel or Stat format.
