{"id":3159,"date":"2017-06-30T14:18:09","date_gmt":"2017-06-30T14:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/socscilibrarians\/?p=3159"},"modified":"2024-11-26T17:49:29","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T17:49:29","slug":"gay-pride","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/socscilibrarians\/2017\/06\/30\/gay-pride\/","title":{"rendered":"Gay Pride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Celebrate gay pride \u2013 with the Gay t-shirt archive!\u00a0 <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/wearinggayhistory.com\/\">Wearing gay history <\/a> \u00a0digitized t-shirt collections of numerous lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender archives across the United States.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nOnly 4 in 10 people feel a suitably qualified transgender person should definitely be employed as a police officer or primary school teacher&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/strong>according to the latest British Social Attitudes report.\u00a0 This leading annual public survey has been conducted since 1983.\u00a0 The 2016 British Social Attitudes survey consisted of 2,942 interviews with a representative, random sample of adults in Britain with a response rate of 46%. \u00a0Interviewing was carried out between 13th July and 30th November 2016.\u00a0 The full text of the report can be downloaded from the website.\u00a0 See the chapter on morality which also <a href=\"http:\/\/bsa.natcen.ac.uk\/downloads\/bsa-34-downloads.aspx\">includes attitudes towards Same Sex Marriage<\/a>.<br \/>\nAlso covered are attitudes towards tax avoidance, the role of government, austerity measures and Brexit.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/bsa.natcen.ac.uk\/\">main website<\/a> has a searchable database of questions and findings from earlier years which enable the tracking of changes in public opinion towards certain issues from 1983 onwards.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nLGBTQI nightlife spaces in London <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucl.ac.uk\/urbanlab\/research\/lgbtqi-space\">Research project from UCL urban laboratory<\/a> in collaboration with community groups <a href=\"http:\/\/www.razecollective.com\/\">Raze Collective<\/a> and Queer Spaces London,\u00a0 which was commissioned by Greater London Authority and is mapping and collecting evidence on LGBTQI nightlife spaces in London from 1986 onwards.\u00a0 It includes information on spatial mapping infrastructure and closure of gay nightclubs and LGBT+ venues.<a href=\"https:\/\/lgbtqispaces.wordpress.com\/\">\u00a0 The blog<\/a> has details of research and reports.\u00a0 It includes coverage of performers, managers and venue managers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrate gay pride \u2013 with the Gay t-shirt archive!\u00a0 Wearing gay history \u00a0digitized t-shirt collections of numerous lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender archives across the United States.
