Covers 1872-1920s and includes the Russian revolution. <a href=\"http:\/\/digital.lib.uh.edu\/collection\/scpamp\/item\/414\">See this great example<\/a> celebrating the first year of the Russian revolution which has marvelous text and images.<\/p>\n<p>The British Library has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bl.uk\/events\/russian-revolution-hope-tragedy-myths\">a new exhibition opening on the Russian Revolution <\/a>\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BL_European\">@BL_European <\/a>has been tweeting images of objects so it is worth following.<\/p>\n<p>Of course a great library for recent and classic full-text communist works is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marxists.org\/archive\/\">Marxist Internet Archive<\/a> and in the UK the Marx Memorial library has a specialist collection and is currently working to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marx-memorial-library.org\/collections\/the-daily-worker-and-morning-star-collection\/daily-worker-morning-star-digitisation-project\">digitise historic issues of the Morning star<\/a> and Daily Worker.\u00a0 The period they are covering is that excluded by commercial digital services &#8211; the\u00a0early 1950s<\/p>\n<p>Finally if you are planning a holiday explore Europeana\u2019s \u00a0exhibition \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/portal\/en\/exhibitions\/picture-this-vintage-postcards-of-southeastern-europe\">of vintage picture postcards from South Eastern Europe<\/a> to get some inspiration. Gorgeous tourism images from Europeana\u2019s consortium of European research libraries.
