It also has up to date news and analysis of the current security collapse in Iraq<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stanford.edu\/group\/mappingmilitants\">Mapping Militant Organizations<\/a> from Stanford University is a research project which traces the evolution of militant organizations and the interactions that develop between them over time. It has mappings of global Al-Qaeda and Iraq<\/li>\n<li>The<a href=\"http:\/\/jihadology.net\/2014\/06\/17\/check-out-my-new-piece-for-politico-isiss-massacre-strategy\/\"> Jihadology Website<\/a> is personal project of Aaron Y. Zelin, Richard Borrow Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. It serves as a clearing house for \u00a0jihadi primary source material, including original analysis, and translations.<\/li>\n<li>For historic data try the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.start.umd.edu\/gtd\/search\/Results.aspx?expanded=no&amp;casualties_type=&amp;casualties_max=&amp;success=yes&amp;perpetrator=20225&amp;ob=GTDID&amp;od=desc&amp;page=1&amp;count=100#results-table\">Global Terrorism Database<\/a> from the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terror (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.start.umd.edu\/\">START<\/a>), which is supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the University of Maryland. \u00a0It has 146 incidents attributed to them from 1970-2012 (note later incidents not recorded here. ) These give details about the nature of the attack and casualties.<\/li>\n<li>The annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.gov\/j\/ct\/rls\/crt\/\">Country Reports on Terrorism<\/a>\u00a0from the U.S. State Department have more recent updates from 2013.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Good sources of news and analysis on the current security situation include: <a href=\"http:\/\/iwpr.net\/programme\/219\/issue-archive\">Institute For War and Peace Reporting Syria archive<\/a> which has coverage of groups within Syria.
