{"id":1561,"date":"2014-03-28T11:40:12","date_gmt":"2014-03-28T11:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/socscilibrarians\/?p=1561"},"modified":"2024-11-26T17:50:32","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T17:50:32","slug":"women-on-boards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/socscilibrarians\/2014\/03\/28\/women-on-boards\/","title":{"rendered":"Women on boards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/women-on-boards-2014-3-years-on\">Women on Boards Third\u00a0Annual Report released<br \/>\n<\/a><\/b>This 3<sup>rd<\/sup> annual report into women on boards shows progress in achieving the target of \u00a0target of 25% of women on all FTSE100 board by 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Cranfield University\u00a0publish <a href=\"http:\/\/www.som.cranfield.ac.uk\/som\/ftse\">Female FTSE annual reports<\/a> giving data and analysis on female members of FTSE\u00a0\u00a0boards.\u00a0 All issues from 2005 onwards can be downloaded \u00a0free of\u00a0charge from their website.<\/p>\n<p>Other good sources for data on women and management include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.30percentclub.org.uk\/\">30% Club<\/a>\u00a0which is seeking\u00a030% representation on boards. Its most recent research <a href=\"http:\/\/www.30percentclub.org.uk\/press\/cracking-the-code-research-findings-unveiled\/\">Cracking the Code<\/a> examines the science of how women succeed and what can be\u00a0done to encourage them.\u00a0 It also has a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.30percentclub.org.uk\/reading-lis\/\"> list of \u00a0further readings<\/a> which highlights other key reports.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fawcettsociety.org.uk\/issue\/the-economy\/\">Fawcett Society<\/a>\u00a0has published reports on women in the workplace and regularly comments on \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 current news stories.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilo.org\/gender\/lang--en\/index.htm\">The\u00a0ILO<\/a>\u00a0also\u00a0produces regular gender audits.
