{"id":666,"date":"2021-01-05T12:30:08","date_gmt":"2021-01-05T12:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/?p=666"},"modified":"2025-02-26T13:37:29","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T13:37:29","slug":"entries-open-for-the-three-minute-thesis-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/2021\/01\/05\/entries-open-for-the-three-minute-thesis-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Entries Open for the Three-Minute Thesis Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The University of Leicester is back hosting its own 3 Minute Thesis\u00a0annual competition and this year it is open to Early Career Researchers and PostDocs. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/files\/2021\/01\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-668\" width=\"225\" height=\"71\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>3 Minute Thesis (3MT\u00ae) is an academic competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. Entries will be judged on their ability to communicate research in a non-technical way, their ability to communicate something of the presenter&#8217;s own excitement for their research area, their ability to engage the audience, and their ability to use the three minutes as effectively as possible.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The competition will run from Wednesday 31 March 2021 from 2pm \u2013 5pm<\/strong>\u00a0UK Time latest.
