{"id":661,"date":"2020-12-18T13:28:08","date_gmt":"2020-12-18T13:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/?p=661"},"modified":"2025-02-26T13:37:29","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T13:37:29","slug":"svom-has-left-the-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/2020\/12\/18\/svom-has-left-the-building\/","title":{"rendered":"SVOM has left the building"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><i style=\"font-weight: bold\">An update on the<\/i><em style=\"font-style: italic;font-weight: bold\">\u00a0X-ray optic for the Chinese-French satellite SVOM<\/em><strong><em>, by Charly Feldman.<\/em><\/strong><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further to the <a href=\"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/2020\/10\/28\/successful-verification-of-the-first-lobster-x-ray-mirror-assembly-for-svom\/\">post published by Julian Osborne<\/a> in October, the SVOM FM optic has now completed all its X-ray and environmental testing. It has been shaked and baked and survived all with no noticeable changes! This has been confirmed by in house X-ray tests.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week has been very exciting for our little lobster eye optic.
