{"id":1303,"date":"2022-01-31T14:11:33","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T14:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/?p=1303"},"modified":"2025-02-26T13:37:27","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T13:37:27","slug":"centenary-phd-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/physicsastronomy\/2022\/01\/31\/centenary-phd-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Centenary PhD Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The University of Leicester are investing \u00a39m in 100 PhD Scholarships for entry in autumn 2022 as part of its ambition to deliver on its strategic aim to \u2018nurture the next generation of researchers to become world-leaders in their field\u2019. <\/em><\/strong><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;11th March 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong>\u00a026th September 2022<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects listed below are in addition to the UKRI-funded projects (e.g., STFC and NERC\/CENTA) where applications have already closed, and the evaluation\/interview process is underway.  We therefore strongly suggest that candidates to the UKRI programme also consider applying to the Centenary projects listed below.  <br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list below covers both the School of Physics and Astronomy (see the <a href=\"https:\/\/le.ac.uk\/study\/research-degrees\/funded-opportunities\/future-100-phd-cse\">College of Science and Engineering<\/a> page), and the <a href=\"https:\/\/le.ac.uk\/study\/research-degrees\/funded-opportunities\/future-100-phd-ri\">Space Park Leicester Institute of Research and Innovation<\/a>.  Please be aware that not all of the proposed projects will be funded; however, it is possible to apply for up to two projects.
