Students can prepare for seminars or tutorials, allowing the teacher to move to deeper learning more quickly. Writing and critical skills can also improve. Quieter and less confident students can prepare their contributions and have their voice heard.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h3>Blackboard has three types of blog:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Individual<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Course<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Group<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Individual<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each student gets their own blog. Members of the group can add posts and comment. The students felt that the benefits of blogging to them included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">improvements in their writing, <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">intellectual exchange with other students, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">motivation to write better. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Reference<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sullivan, M., &amp; Longnecker, N.
