Speaking to Rupal Rajani on BBC Radio Leicester on 17th June, Emma\u2019s co-director Alex Hatcher (a History student) said that he was proud to be putting on a play by one of Leicester\u2019s most famous and influential cultural figures. Describing Entertaining Mr Sloane  as \u2018uncomfortable\u2019, \u2018shocking\u2019, and \u2018hilarious\u2019, Alex said that Orton\u2019s \u2018blistering assault\u2019 on the Establishment remains as relevant today as it was in 1964. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/english\/files\/2014\/06\/LUT-Sloane-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/english\/files\/2014\/06\/LUT-Sloane-2-300x155.jpg\" alt=\"LUT Sloane 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"155\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/english\/files\/2014\/06\/LUT-Sloane-2-300x155.jpg 300w, https:\/\/staffblogs.le.ac.uk\/english\/files\/2014\/06\/LUT-Sloane-2.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The play will be performed on 17th, 19th and 20th June (7.30pm, in the Queen\u2019s Hall of Percy Gee Building).
